Yes. They just Announced 8th June as the cut-off date and no more RCBs will be accepted till later notice.

what do you mean? you can submit anytime… if you submit by end of May your RCB should be approved by end of June so that you can lodge RSMS visa/nomination by the using current policy.

HI, My Agent told me that they have applied for RCB on 22nd May and they have given me the forms to fill in and list of documents to hand them over. I am just wondering how long now a days it is taking for RCB to be approved? Anyone has experience? Is it okay, is RCB planning to speed up things? Moreover, i just read on WA migration website that Skilled Migration WA has received a number of queries from businesses regarding the Form 1054. Skilled Migration WA has confirmed with the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) that businesses who are successful in having a position certified under the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme can submit a scanned copy of the signed Form 1054 for nomination to DIAC. It is not required to be the original form. Does this mean that you can apply for nomination and visa together even though RCB is in pending to be approved?

Although RCB is very very busy, but we are still getting RCB applications approved within just 3 weeks time recently. So, they are pretty efficient! You only need to lodge online for RCB but the original 1054 form can be used for Nomination application because it is paper based. – Ping

Hi ping, my lawyer is going to post my RCB application today or tomorrow, but they didn’t ask for documents from me. They said RCB certificate is all about business and it has nothing to do with the employee. So don’t we need any employment contract for RCB. And the business is also less than a year old and not earning any profit, but my lawyer says that that shouldn’t be a problem even if employer is unable to show the financial ability. I don’t really trust my lawyer so I wanted to cross check that whether this gonna work or what? Thanks.

profit is not a must don’t worry, it depends on the overall picture of the company’s finanicical health. RCB is normally lodged online. An employment contract should be included. ping

I think i am missing some information here. My Agent has been telling me that the RCB and all relevant documents are paper based. Everything required for RCB including form 1054 is sent to their office via post and once they have assessed it. They send it back with the signatures and stamp on the form 1054. Is that true or am i missing something here?

One of my friend has got pre grant visa in less than 2 weeks after lodged the visa application in montville. That was quick aye.

Hi ping, Just one question plz if u could help, much appreciated. I am on 485 visa now, i have done diploma of businesss( 1 year). + cert.3 horti(landscape) + ielts 6 each. Am I eligible to apply for RSMS after 1 July 2012 or I need to do cert. 4 in horticulture? According to the new rules?skill level raised to cert. 4 for trade courses?? Thanks. Harry

The current processing time on the website it shows 24 working days. As of now they have processed application received on or before 13th May. I am just wondering if they were over loaded then why they had to extend the RCB deadline to 8th June. I applied for my RCB on 22nd May..Still Waiting for the reply.

Hi Ping , We have lodged our RCB application on 17th May but still haven’t heard from them yet. Currently , the processing time is increased to 25 working days. Will it get approved by end of this month? Thanks

Hi Ping my agent told me that diac has cease assessment for visa 857, all my rcb have been approved. i have paid the visa fees but now they have have ceased assessment of visa. they said the office ill only do administration duties and no further visa assessment. Not till the end of August. Have you heard anything about it

It is true that they are trying to focus on the admin work this month. I think they are making good progress so may have started process visas now because we just received an approval of a RSMS visa which we lodged on 15 June as DRA.

Company is going through lot of restructuring and they also asked me that they want me to work as Procurement manager not Accountant. If I leave the company and get another job as an Accountant in regional area(Fremantle) and I may also get letter from Company Accountant that due to restructuring they offered me Procurement Manager position instead of Accountant and I denied. Can DIAC cancel my visa?? I am not happy at all where I am working at the moment and DIAC should also give some power to employee not ONLY employers?? Please guide me in this case, your help will be greatly appreicated. Thank you

Hello, Me again, Okay so agent send me a email conforming a agent is looking at my application as of Tuesday 21st august. My nomination was looked at and they asked for more information which was all sent back on 27th july and we have not heard back yet. How long from now will it take to be granted once a case pfficer os allocated ? I applied at Perth Decision ready. RCB granted in April Nomination applied for 3rd May Application applied for 4th June Thanks

sory again this is what my MA wrote when she forwarded me the acknowledgement letter… Please find attached the acknowledgement letter for your application. The letter is requesting that you now complete your medicals. This is the first correspondence that we have had with DIAC regarding your case. There will be a follow letter to this once the case officer has thoroughly examined the application. This does not mean that you are about to have your visa granted. The nomination section of the application has still not be decided. Until that happens, the case officer cannot make a decision on your application. Kind regards What does this mean? does this mean i do have a case officer… it would have been 12 weeks /3 months since we lodged our application on monday!!

You should lodge your nomi and visa at the same time as DRAs and don’t wait for nomi outcome to lodge visa. You IELTS should be valid for three years with the new policy starting in July 2012. So are you sure your IELTS expires this November not next year? – Ping

My ielts result is on 29 Nov 2009. So as long as I submit the nomination and visa together, the ielts is still valid on the day I submit application?!so it won’t matter even it expired after I submitted and wait for result for nomination and visa?!

Hi Raj, there is a big chance that you won’t be able to lodge visa before your visa expires. Current RCB (if in Perth) requires advertisement. Have they advertised in the last 3 months at all? What is your occupation?

We are not familiar with Geelong. However, the general processing time may be 1-3 months if they are Decision Ready. If not decision ready, it may take much longer time. Ping

I have a certificate III on motor mechanic, and I have three years work experience back in my country. Do I meet the requirement for rsms because they need certificate III plus two years on-the-job-training. What is the two years on the job training means?
